You know if you stick with me, I’ll get you more distance (training aids/mechanics/workouts) and less thinking/better tempo (tour tempo). But before we go any further together, we need to make sure that we are on the same page. So, I’m going to lay out 2 options and you need to choose the right one. This won’t be a trick question. If you can’t get this right, we can’t go on together…
Ok, so, let’s say we have a goal of getting ‘fit for golf’, or ‘training for more clubhead speed’, or ‘training to prevent injury’. You have 2 options:
Option A
If you choose this path, you will perform certain ‘exercises’ (that are in vogue and fit the current paradigm) and get the results you want. However, there is a 10% chance of injury and a 2% chance of serious injury.
Option B
This path has different exercises (not necessarily in vogue) that will get you the SAME results as Option A. There is NO chance of injury.
It’s not a trick question. If you can’t figure this out, I bid you farewell.
If you did figure this out, congratulations, I will take you to the promise land.
